Although the landing page had typically been the home page of a website, They have more purpose these days. It’s more common to refer to a landing page as being a standalone web page distinct from your main website that has been designed for a single focused objective. The sole purpose of the page is to collect information that will allow you to market to and connect with the prospect at a subsequent time.

In general terms, it means you are trying to get exposure for this Landing Page so visitors to the page will take the action requested on the page. Sometimes it’s to download a report or guide, enter a contest, share your story or anything that would entice your visitor to register on the page.
